After working on this off-and-on for two years, my article “A Short History of Nazi-Satanism” is finally out in the new issue of the peer-reviewed Journal of Right Wing Studies! At 38 pages, it is the first comprehensive article which covers the whole trajectory of the Nazi-Satanist current, starting soon after the Church of Satan’s 1966 founding and its subsequent connections with neo-Nazi groups; the emergence of full-on Nazi-Satanist groups in the mid-1970s; the relationship of both members and leaders of the Church of Satan with neo-Nazi terrorist ideologue Jame Mason starting in the 1980s; Norwegian black metal and the rise of NSBM in the 1990s; the newfound popularity of the Order of Nine Angles in the ’10s and its ongoing influence, via the Atomwaffen Division and the Temple ov Blood, on today’s global neo-Nazi terrorist networks; and Nazi-Satanism’s place in the ’20s in the NVE (Nihilist Violent Extremism) milieu.
